I have been teaching for the last several weeks on the gifts of the Holy Spirit. There are 9 gifts: Power gifts, Vocal gifts and Revelation gifts. Power gifts do something. Vocal gifts say something and Revelation gifts reveal something. I Corinthians 12 teaches us that God does not want us to be ignorant of Spiritual gifts. That means that there are Christians who don’t know about the gifts and not knowing about the gifts means that they likely don’t manifest in the lives of those Christians, and when they do, those Christians are unaware.
You are to be led by the inward witness. God leads us through His Word and through the inward witness through your recreated human spirit. That means that He does not lead us through the outside – the flesh, feelings or emotions. He does not lead from the natural things that impact our minds and our physical senses. If you put these two thoughts together, it lets you know that an outward leading can lead to ignorance of spiritual things. In verse 2 of I Corinthians 12 Paul talked about an outward leading that can be by impulse or by habit and that outward leading led the gentiles by something that was non living and couldn’t speak; idol gods.
God is leading you by His spirit. The Holy Spirit is manifesting the gifts of the Spirits as He will to edify and build up the body of Christ and others. Join me on Weds noon EST on iheart radio heaven 1410 as I continue this series of lessons.
